I just came across the stores that you introduce above. I must recognize that they are very beautiful and the price is also very good, even some stores have the prices super cheap. But, my trouble is I don't know too much about the color as well as the type of pattern on the rug of each country. So I seem to feel every rug is as same as each other, I can't see what is more beautiful than others. If I have to choose, I would choose the rug which fits my eyes best LOL. I truly see the rug you've chosen (in the photo you post) is really beautiful, and suitable both in term of size, color and design for each position you spread the rug. May you took a long time to find out those rugs? Have you ever had any secrets when selecting the rug?
So, $200 is around the going price on ebay for that size (or atleast for the sellers that I'm watching). That's a pretty good price. You will pay more than that on Etsy for sure. Another place to check is esalerugs. They run 50% off a lot so you might be able to beat that price there.
I just bought Sirius design rug carpet few months ago. I liked the way described on their page how to take care of rugs is useful. And they took little bit more time to delivered. But its worth to wait for good things take place. Nice experience to buy rugs carpet online.

THe first question I must ask is whether you know the difference between a good rug and a cheap rug... you should first go to a store in your home town and familiarize yourself with the quality and prices of these rugs... if you want a quality hand-woven carpet, you might be better off buying one in your hometown as these carpet stores usually will cut prices in half... going out of business sales.... holiday sales, whatever it is...If you want quality, you can probably find a store anywhere in Morocco. You will probably pay a good amount for it... you will never buy a carpet off of the person who made it... usually the women of a town work as a co-op, then their product is sold to a carpet dealer. If you just want a sovenier, something that says you were in Morocco you can buy a cheap carpet off a vendor in Marrakesh. When I say vendor, I mean someone with a store/stall in the market with carpets hanging up. You ask them how much it cost and then you haggle over the price. If you have to walk in their, have tea with them and then go through the whole sales routine you will probably pay too much... or be subjected to high-pressure sales tactics....Ask yourself what you want to buy and take it from there.... the best carpet I ever bought was in Chicago at a store which was closing down...225 for a handmade carpet from India... looks as good as it did the day I bought it three years ago. I cannot say the same about the carpets i bought in Morocco.
an excellent answer from midnight mike. yes i would suggest checking out carpets in your city too - for londoners tips i have checked out Liberty here this year and year before and compared with carpets and rugs my connections in morocco deal with. i have met their dealers even and done some haggling around the souks but most village and town souks dont sell them anymore the dealers get to the families first and then sell them for big prices to the big shops such as in marrakech. the lonely planet guide for marrakech and shopping there had some handy hints with some smaller shops away from the medina which i was keen to check out my last visit but didnt get time.i have been with my connections to the huge shop thats in the djma elfna but like they said the shop owners just deal in mass numbers of carpets and tourists and dont really know much difference between some good ones that might come in amongst their ordinary ones/cheaper quality ones but stilll all just charging what they can.i was going to suggest as always!, to take a day trip out to telouet, its a lovely village with the glaoui palace which was the ruling centre for a large area through to marrakech, its excellent to visit before it totally falls down and the whole area is very scenic. its a lovely drive too along the whole route between marrakech out to tizintichka pass and then the 21 km turnoff from there to telouet. see a bit further on too at anmiter and the salt mine in between. the souk is thursdays which is a rather interesting visit with berber villagers coming from miles around. its higher altitude means its an excellent relief from the heat of marrakech but cold in winter but even more stunning witht he snow on the mountains, even more so scenic in spring. some good and cheap places to stay and eat. tasgha auberge or camping 4.5 km past telouet or lion dor in town or phone abdul and rent a french womans gite 0021273625954. anyway the point is that Abdul has an excellent carpet shop there to check out and compare prices and varying quality and style - big main shop next to the palace and small intro shop in the centre of the village.but yes check around prices abnd qualities in your home country, and bear in mind that the market is also flooded with factory line copies of varying qualities, usually low, towns such as tazenakt are major suppliers of such and old tradtional 'special' carpets are usually 600 minimum.

Whether you layer antique and vintage textiles for a boho chic vibe, or choose to let a bold statement-making rug steal the show, the possibilities are endless. So, we took to some of our favorite designers to ask about the ins and outs of shopping for, thrifting, and spotting the best rugs on the market.
