New Client Eligibility & About Meals

... to clients with every meal delivered

Eligibility

Meals on Wheels clients must be 60 years of age or older, homebound and unable to purchase or prepare regular nutritious meals for themselves, and have no one else available to do so.

About the Meals

Five frozen meals are delivered once a week between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Fresh milk and bread (or a preferred grain food) are delivered on an alternating basis.

Each individually packaged meal exceeds one-third of the recommended dietary allowance for older adults.

Cost

Note:  The program costs are $7.71 per meal. We are a non-profit organization and our program continues to exist to provide nutritious meals for our clients. We understand that not everyone has the ability to pay, but any contributing amount will be helpful to keep our program running.

No senior will be denied a meal for inability to contribute.

Meal Delivery Using Social Distancing

Meals on Wheels is continuing to deliver nutritious food to clients while taking precautions to practice social distancing. We are temporarily providing 5 frozen meals once-a-week.

Volunteers will place meals near the front door on a table/chair or door handle, ring the doorbell or knock, and move back at least 6 feet as they wait for you to collect the meals.

If you see the volunteer approaching the door, you do not need to open the door to be handed the meals. Because there will be two meal bags delivered, volunteers will place the bags on the table/chair or door handle.
